After missing the 2022 Summer Mixer due to the continued impacts of Covid-19 on the South Australian community, the board jumped at the opportunity to host the first ever Spence Club Inc Winter Mixer.
Kindly sponsored by the wonderful team at Sparkke for change, the Spence Club membership had the opportunity to unite, network and hear from incredible speakers.
The evening was a wonderful mix of new and familiar faces who truly represented the wonderful diverse industry backgrounds that the Spence Club prides itself on representing.
The evening featured three powerhouse speakers:
- Starting with Kari Allen – Co-founder of The Sparkke Change - whose pathway shows such brilliant examples of tenacity and determination – examples that certainly made a big impression on the attendees.
- Jaylee Cooper, Manager ofPhilanthropy and Engagement at Catherine House Inc - Spence Club'spartner charity for 2022-2023 - and Sonya then took to the stage, sharing thewonderful work that Catherine House completes each and every day for women experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
- We then had the privilege of hearing from our wonderful keynote speaker Elaine Bensted, Chief Executive of Zoos South Australia who shared her experiences in and pathway to leadership, how saying yes to opportunities can open additional career pathways you might not have expected, and the importance of finding purpose and passion in your work.
Each of our speakers presented such unique experiences, goals and pathways – yet their messages were consistent. To back yourself wholeheartedly, take the leap and never doubt your abilities – a reminder we all need at times!
A big thank you again to the wonderful supporters behind this event! Sparkke for Change for their kind hospitality as the events Major Sponsor. Club sponsor, Jurlique for the lovely take home gifts and ZoosSA for the exciting door prize.
